One of our passions is education through visits, which is why we chose to include it as part of our agreement with Natural England.
We are committed to enabling as many people as we can to see what organic farming is all about and there is no better way than to come on the farm and have a look around and a chat to Farmer Head and his Mrs!
To organise a visit, please call us or email us and we will do our best to accommodate you.
We host school and college visits, visits for children, young adults and adults. Everyone is welcome!
We now have a lovely visits trailer which we share with other farmers, which was funded by the Purbeck Keystone Project which means it doesn't have to be all on foot which is a great bonus, although sturdy shoes or wellies and a waterproof coat are always advisable at any time of year!
We are thrilled to be part of a new initiative called Sifunda, working with young people,
intending to fill a significant gap in the support of those who experience difficulty in accessing education and taking advantage of other services that are on offer. Understanding and providing for the needs of these young people is complex and demanding and their curriculum has to be carefully constructed.
to quote their own website - www.Sifunda.com.
For us, this means that the young people come out to the farm and help us with various and essential jobs, along with their teachers, so it is mutually beneficial!
