Sunny Day!

Good evening!  Just got to write and get excited about a slightly sunny day after all the grumpy hard work weather we have been having!  Of course, the best place to be on a day like today is the beach - and so we were!  We have just spent the afternoon at Knoll Beach National Trust Cafe Supplier's Event which for us involved cooking samples of luscious lamb and beef and making eggy bread for passers by to try.  We had a brilliant day and met some lovely, encouraging people - who we hope to see again!  Thank you all for  your postitivity and loveliness!  It was good to catch up with fellow farmer, Kevin, from Pampered Pigs.  January has been a tough month for everyone but days like today make it all seem worth it!  Beth, Dan and Digby (our flattie who many of you are very familiar with!) all came along - Digby thought it was wonderful as Beth walked him for ages and Daniel helped by being Head Eggy Bread Chef.  Thanks guys!  My mission this year is to keep in touch regularly and set up the internet sales asap.  I'll keep you posted ...!

Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Decade!

Hello!  What a busy time of year for everyone this is!  Just a brief note to let you know our opening hours.

Christmas Eve we are open all day as most orders are being collected on this day by 5pm if possible please.  Do let us know if not so that we know when to expect you!  We also have fresh beef and lamb, organic chicken smoked and organic salmon smoked. Give us a ring during the week if you have any queries at all.

New Year's Eve we are opening from 9am to 12pm midday.  We will have no fresh chicken this week, but there is plenty of frozen.  If you would like anything defrosted before hand just give us a call.

We will be back to normal Friday openings 9am to 7pm on Friday 8th January 2010.

We wish you all the best for a Happy Christmas and hope you have a very jolly beginning of a new decade!

Ruby Roasts

New Layer Shed

Hi it's Andrew here, just in from building our new layer shed - the new birds are arriving on Tuesday so there should be some new eggs around soon!!! :D It's a poly tunnel look alike type shed on metal skids with double skinned insulated roof. Have a look over the hedge at the top of the layer field between our lane and the entrance to Rempstone Hall, it's a great view now we've laid the hedge - you can see Poole harbour and Brownsea island in the distance - a lovely sight even on a rainy day!
